Tried to catch some stripers & cats this morning. Fished out of Colonel creek with live herring. At our fist stop, I dropped a rod down to about 20' & picked up a second rod. Before I could get it in had a striper on the first rod. Bad news, this was the only striper we caught. Herring would not live long in the lake water. Tried several spots on down toward the dam but the only thing biting were small cats. Did not mark much of anything.

Ended up with 1 striper & 10 cats. Biggest was about 10 lbs.

Looks like its time to try murray for stripers.

At least the cats didn't let you down. Do you think the lake water temp was the cause the herring perished so quickly?
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
