    Default Lake Murray 6-24

Fished the dam area of Murray last Saturday night. We caught our 4 person limit and was loaded up on the truck in about 2 hours. Once we found the school of fish it was non stop action. Bait of choice was downlined herring but we also caught several on Ben Parker spoons. Hope to get back down there soon for a little more action.

I actually have a buddy that lives close to me that had some. He let me get about 5 dozen when I found out all the places around Murray didn’t have any. I know George’s had some but they are not open in the afternoons. Most of the time I would use lights but we started catching them around 745 and only had the lights out for a few minutes when we finished our limit.

Nice catch! I'm on vacation this coming week and trying to talk myself into going but this heat is holding me back. So were you around the towers? What size spoon? Thanks

BP spoon is about 6-8" depending on what version you decided to use. I like the 6" for bass and striper. About 2oz.

Yea. I was near the towers. I was using a 8 inch magnum spoon dropping in down below the fish and power reeling it through them then letting it drop back through them.
