There are a few free public ramps on lake Marion. Low Falls, Stumphole, John C Land on Taw Caw, Indian Bluff which is on the main lake inbetween Cypress Shores and Eutaw creek, Cathead in Eutaw creek, and Spiers near the canal.
Hello everyone , I’ve never used any boat ramps around Santee other than Canal Lakes Fish Camp or the Santee State Park. Does anyone know if the Santee Cooper landings are free or is there a permit you have to have . I rode by Stumphole Landing today and didn’t see a pay box so I was just wondering. It looks like a pretty nice landing we may try it next weekend if it’s safe. Thanks

I would recommend staying AWAY from free ramps and feel more comfortable that the truck would be OK and so would you when returning to the ramp, especially at nite. Lots of party goers, and beer drinkers, like to hang out at the free ramps after dark (yea, they need a place to hang out too but...one bad apple....(get my drift?!?). Have fun...be safe.)
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
I think stumphole landing is pretty safe. Spiers on the hand I cannot recomend.
