Friday most fish were 1 1/4lb fish but yesterday morning we caught some really nice fish. We had 2 or 3 that went 2lbs.

Wow! I must not be doing something right LOL I don't usually fish past colonel creek, but it looks as if I need to start fishing up there more. Cause there sure aint any fish in the lower lake. Il try them again next week, hopefully get a better turnout.

I fished Wateree Saturday as well. Pulled jigs for about an hour and never got a bite. Changed over to stripers for a while and lost one nice one that we hooked in the side as he swiped at the alabama rig. Crappie were hiding from us. Did talk to someone as we were loading that had 20 so they were biting somewhere.

We had one on probably 12 lbs. had him hooked in the side so gave a heck of a fight. Got to the boat and made a deep dive and pulled off. Found them on a small flat in about 25 foot of water pulling probably 18 to 20 foot deep with alabama rigs.
