I used to use one when I striper fished a lot. Now I very seldom fish for stripers so I sold mine. It is a very good investment for someone that uses large bait
On April 20th OldFish and I fished Lake Norman, John brought some shiners and crappie minnows, early morning they started to die off in his tank so we dumped them into the bait tank. End of day we still had about 10 shiners and some crappie minnows left so John says save them for the Fling on Saturday. Work forced me out of fishing the Fling so the minnows sat int he tank and sat in the tank till I finally got time to uncover the boat and empty the bait tank that was 5/4 2 weeks after the bait went in the tank, 4 of the shiners were swimming like they just came from the store, only 1 crappie minnow survived most got sucked up into the filter system since the tank is built to handle larger bait fish.
I'm pretty sure if I'd had time to change the water once or twice all the shiners would have lived, the dead ones tails were chewed off so the survivors were pretty hungry.
I don't have any interest in Ron Vest Tanks, just think it's great to be able to buy something made here in NC and have it be the Cadillac of bait tanks.
My tank is 5-6 years old, I've replaced the pump and the foam filter just because I thought in needed replacement
Just my 2 cents

I agree about buying local any time we can. A lot of fishing related materials is built here in the Carolinas.

That's the one my son has used over the years and he hasn't had any complaints. He mainly striper fishes.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
You can mess with the rest, but in the end you’ll want a Vest! Lotsa good tanks on the market these days, but the Vests (Super Bait Tanks) are tried and true. Had mine since the mid 1990s. They are made in Easley, SC.
