Default A couple more great trips

Went back to Santee on Friday and Saturday to ride the wind and waves and attempt to get on a few fish. The fishing started slow on both days but improved as the day moved along. I fished both shallow and deep in a vertical presentation over brush, grass and structure. A mix of black and white crappie were caught, with a few studs in the mix. A tricolored jig in yellow, green, and orange head proved to do the most damage.

If anybody ever had 'em figured out at Santee I'd say it was you. You always seem to produce a cooler full. Congrats on another nice mess of fish.

I'll tell ya Butch, I have many potentially good spots. If one fails, it's off to the next one. Having a little a luck on your side doesn't hurt either. I've been blessed to have had certain areas to myself on any given day, and this year I seem to be able to pick the right location to fish on most trips. No complaints here, that I guarantee! I love me some Santee, and love me some crappie fishing!
