    Default Keowee 4/11

Finally got the boat out of the shop and was able to get out. Went to one spot and a pontoon pulled right in front of the boat and started fishing. So ran around most of the afternoon looking for some new spots. Went back up cane creek after 4. We caught a ton of spots, large bream, nice size channel, and three crappie. They all came on minnows. I really haven’t figured out jig fishing yet but gave it a try. The crappie were caught in 9-22 ft of water. The minnows were 1.5 ft down. The bass came on the rods that were 6.5 ft down. I’m going to figure this Lake out if it kills me.

Good luck on Keowee. Seen some good crappie come off the lake and with the clear water the fishing can be hard. Dock shooting may be good to learn on the clear bluebird sky days.
