Jigs tipped with minnows worked well first thing in the morning but didn't seem to make a difference once the air temp got up. 1/32 jig heads.
Went to Russell on Saturday and had a great day. Started in the creek right at the boat ramp and caught 27 by 10:30. Probably should have stayed there and finished out our limit but went and tried a few other spots that have been good to us in the past. Not much luck anywhere else at 1:30 we still only had 27 keepers. Decided to go back to our first spot and finished out our limit by 3. Overall a good day majority of the fish were caught in 12 to 15 ft of water at 60 degree temperature. We could only get them to bite in the creek that had 60 degree heavy stained water. The other creeks we tried were clearer and around 57 degrees. I will try to post some pictures later.

Good job staying after them.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
Thanks for the Russell report. A good day on the lake, congrats!

That is a good day for sure thanks for sharing
Only problem with Russell is there are just a few VERY POPULAR spots on that lake and they get crowded. If you can find biting fish and get your limit before ALL the boats arrive then you did good. Sounds like a GREAT CATCH! Congrats.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
