Ray, a couple years back our Interstate all battery store had some optima blue and yellow top. Last time or two I have been up there I did not notice them though. If you have one of those close to you give them a callI was very close on room when I moved my trolling motor batteries up front in my boat, I thought I may have o go that route but didn't. I gained a 1/2" by swapping out the 3/4" plywood and replacing it with 1/4" aluminum plate. That squeezed me by.

Was not familiar with them. The 34PC1500 seems close to the Optima. What would it run me without a battery core to trade in?

Ray, the interstate place way out on shop road use to have those batteries, I know about 2 years ago when I was there. They always gave me a good price on Batteries also. One thing the remember about warranty, I bought a battery at Sam's a few years back, but didn't keep the membership up and when the battery died before the full replacement warrant was out, they wouldn't warranty the battery unless I renewed the membership. The manager wouldn't budge either. I left and went straight to Wal-Mart, never had a problem with a warranty there. And I've never went back to Sam's again. It takes a lot of saving to pay for that membership.

I don't have a membership either. We don't buy enough to justify it. I have 2 new Walmart Marine batteries in the Duracraft. They just won't fit in the skif.

Ray anytime you want to go to SAMs just give me a call I will be more than glad to take you. You can get in on my membership. Last time I looked at batteries they had a couple optima batteries. They may have been old stock.

If the battery you are looking for is the D34M, Academy Sports is showing $199.99 for it if you have one nearby. If they do not have one in-stock, maybe they can order one for you. I am guessing it is the D34M because I do not see a model DFM34.

Thanks MHB, there is one near me. I will check it out, that is a good price. The DFM34-950 came off the actual Optima battery at Advance Auto
