    Default Lake marion

My son and I will be going to Marion sometime in April or May. We will be mainly fishing close to Jack's Creek for Bass as we will be fishing with my brother in law in his boat. We went last year and ended up going in bad weather. This year may want to try for crappie too. Anyone have any luck near Jack's creek?

One of the best places on the lake if you can single pole jig. There are so many brush piles in there. I will send you a pm on how to find brush piles in Santee. You can also use live minnows with good results.

OK thanks. We had a good time last year, beautiful lake. My brother in law will be staying at Jack's creek for work from January till May, so we will go somewhere in that time.
He has a v bottom G3 with nice Lowrance electronics , so we are really looking forward to trip. We have a 16ft Polar Kraft but all those stumps makes me glad he has his boat there.

For bass, the back side of Persanti Island has channels and bays with Lily Pads and weed beds that are good in spring. Persanti is the big island on the right as you leave Jack's Creek into the lake. Upper back side of the island is good for cats too. Cut herring on the bottom around the pads is a good pattern.
