    Default Done it again

Well it seems like I just can't live without a boat to work on so I saw a good buy on a 2004 22 ft crest fishing pontoon powered by a 140 hp Johnson 4 stroke. It has a 70 lb foot control trolling motor which will be replaced by a autopilot minn Kota shortly. It is good and clean for the year. Since my health keeps going downhill this may help a lot. Will post some pictures next week still raining here.

They aren't as fast as a single hull, but as we get older they are sure nice, they don't bounce around as much and have rais in case you take a fall.
    Enjoy your new yacht

What size trolling motor works best a 80 or 112 lb thrust. Going to order a new ultera to go on it

Don, my 80 does OK in light winds, if I had it to do over I'd go with the 112.. My toon is 22' you can always turn it down but if you need more with the 80 that's it.
The 80 pulls the boat at 1.9mph without wind in your face.
And besides it's your money :-)

With the wind the toons catch, i would go 112, there are times i wish i had a 112 on my boat.

Don, I know you will have fun rigging your pontoon as well as using it and they sure are a lot easier to get around in !
The 112 would be the best. Sometimes on windy days or in schooling fish I wish I had more than the 80 on my Scout.
Give me a call or send a PM if you want to discuss a few more "Toon Thoughts".

    All the Best - Satoma
