Came home to get shower and a little sleep this am while Nancy's mom sleeps under influence of morphine. To my surprise, I see this post and am very tearful to see it. Thanks a million guys! You all are very awesome with the prayers and thoughts. Long story short! Nancy's mom is on a last crusade she says. She went to Florida to visit her oldest daughter for a week and then went to North Charleston for her grandson's wedding over this past Memorial Day weekend. Then she came home with us to spend 4 days and was suppose to keep moving on for another vacation stop with her son in NC and then on to granddaughter in TN before going back to her home in Connecticut. Yesterday morning around 5:30 am she called to my wife to take her to the hospital. She was admitted and was x-rayed and confirmed for the blockage. Bad thing about this is, this is the second time in 3 weeks she's had this happened. Well, she was given an option to have surgery for the blockage by a Dr. at Carolina Medical Center in Pineville NC. Her Dr. at Yale says no don't do surgery due to already extensive scar tissue and several previous surgeries their was nothing else to do for her! So, Nancy's mom has decided to not do surgery and let the chips fall where they fall. She will be 84 in August. All I can say this morning is, she is resting and in and out with the morphine. We do not have a direct answer to how long but hospice is working to make her comfortable. So sad to say this but we just have to wait and see what the out come will be. Thanks for the prayers! We'll pass this on to mom and tell her she's got love from another great family! Thank you all.
