    Default Monticello

Heading to the bowl tomorrow any body going to be there? Think there may be a big one leaving there tomorrow. It might be the only clear lake in this part of the country.

Thats one thing about Monticello is that the rain dont affect it much.Capt.Jim do you catch a good many blues on Murray? I just started fishin down there at the beginning of the year and it seems to be loaded with 4 to 12 lb fish.I hadnt had a chance to go for any big ones yet.Do you catch any of any size?

I dont know anyhting about Dreher Island area. The only place I've ever fished was from Rocky Creek to a little above where the big and little saluda meet.At that time I was catchin alot of small 4 to 12 lb blues driftin but if I where goin for a bigger fish I would anchor on the channel ledges and maybe try some of the shallow flats on up near where the saluda comes in.I've only fished there 4 times and caught a good mess of blues everytime but I hadnt had a chance to put much time into huntin a big one.Driftin should still catch fish to though. Go to this site www.tonyslake.com and e-mail Tony tell him I sent you and he should point you in the right direction. He stays on top of the fish down there.

Heres some of the blues we've caught out of there.7 out of 10 catfish we caught where blues but we have caught some decent channels and white cats. They where all this fat and some fatter. When they take off, Murray is gone be hot.
