    Default Florida bound

It is finally time for my annual trip to Okeechobee and the Everglades for some action packed fishing.
I twisted Gerald Cromer's arm until he agreed to go with me. Actually we had been talking about this for some time now but this is the first time his schedule allowed him to go. We are pulling out around 6:30-7:00 Friday morning. Long drive ahead, we spend the night in a hotel south of Orlando before going into Roland Martin's Marina Resort on Saturday. 464 miles to the hotel, almost 600 to Okeechobee.
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men

Ray, y'all have a safe trip down there and I know you both will enjoy the adventure.
Okeechobee is a pretty good drive from here. We did it one time for some bass fishing while wading in Okeechobee. A lot of memories and stories there.
Keep us posted on the adventure and take plenty of pictures ! Have FUN !!!

Glad you'll are going to make it happen. Be safe and please, lots of pictures on your trip. I told several people about your trips and everyone say's let go but no takers when you start to make plans. Everett my brother in law told me his cousin used a freezer in the back of his truck to haul all his fish back to Wateree. He no longer does it due to back issues. I'll be looking forward to hear the up dates and the whole story when you return home. Good luck and catch a lot!

Some of our local fisherman are at Holiday Park catching Oscars. They are catching 500 plus dailey.Fishing in main channel. There is a guy at Rolands that will fillet them for .25 each. They said biting so good catching them on plain gold hook.I know those who have never been think this sounds like a fib but yall know better.Only draw back its so far to Rolands then 55miles to Holiday Park.
