Default Lake Wylie long Line 3/20/2017

Ok 6:30 A.M. sitting in easy chair drinking Coffee. I text Brettw tell me again why I am getting out of chair in 34 degree weather. Brettw goes well my rod eylets are freezing over and hard to see eyelids froze shut. Ok I am coming right out. Get on Lake at 8:30 and Brettw is drifting along aimlessly. I passed by and said I am going to check out 300 yards up the creek.
I put rods out and proceed to catch fish. Brettw caught on and put his trolling motor on Jack Rabbit and made a beeline to me. We both had fun and yelling at each other you know the guy ball bustin thing. Here is pic of Brettw catching as he called it "SlabZilla".

Noon time came along and brettw had to go. Also Charles Biggers shows up and we give a report. I decided to leave the fish biting and go to another Creek to check out. . Charles decided to fish were we were. Not much happening in the two creeks I went so I decided to go back to the original area. Charles is still fishing with friend.

I ended up with 18 on clicker and sure enough 18 on filet table. Also had 6 perch in a bucket. Perch don't belong with the high class Crappie. Perch are good for . 4 males 13 females and one male thought he was a female. I tossed back the skidders. I only keep 11 inches and up. 3 14inch, 4 13 inch, 7 12 inch 4 11 inch. Good quality fish. Fishing in 20 to 25 feet of water 5 to 8 feet deep. 1/16th and 1/32nd jigs at .8 to 1.0. Colors did not matter in morning but midday on white and Chartreuses dominated.

O yea today I had my first Crappie triple. 3 rods at once that was fun.

Brettw looks like he's practicing some form of Crappie Yoga (Namaste, crappie salutation pose). And you sir are a master of emojis, especially the triple lol

Way to go CK. Keeping Brett busy while you were catching must have been a picture to be seen. Great report and pictures, to bad I'm boat less and working this week. Maybe you left a few for me next week. Keep up with the good job of catching.

Looks like theyre beginning to bite really good. And I dont blame you for leaving biting fish to do some "scouting" either.Congrats on a great catch.
