Be careful folks!! I retired last year 41 years of law enforcement!! I have seen a lot!!! Gate your driveway and a loud dog is good. I live in the far out of town!! I have 9 Dogs rotate my stock loose!! Keep em on log chain some to control em better! Dead bolt lock on bedroom doors!!! 12 gauge by my bed!! Wife sleeps with .38 revolver!! I carry a river .22 magnum in my pocket 24/7/365!! Don't go to large cities.... Shop in the early am when 90% of breed is asleep!!! Be Careful you and your guns are your 911!!!!!!!!!

Not nuts, i am pretty protected here at home, but have not been good at remembering to bring my pistol when fishing.

Get one you can carry in your pocket! My LCR river was bout 5 bill new!! .22 magnom revolver with hornady ballistic tips!! Its just for folks within my safe space!! I wear a Block .40 or .45 for show on fishing trips!!! Most thieves are cowards and can tell if your wearing a sidearm and love to shoot it!! A coward that's wanting to kill you is gonna kill you regardless of what you can do personally!! I can take a .22 single shot and take out anyone if need be!! One hollow point behind the ear its over said and done!!

Don't like thieves at all. Be careful and lock all of it up. I thought I was safe in my neighbor hood too! Lost my new four wheeler and trailer to a professional thief. It took 3 years to get him but he got 12 years for stealing mine and other stuff he stole. He was making a living off of others hard work. Steal it, tear it up and sale whole or for parts. This guy knew my son through some of my son's friends, which made it easy for him to get my stuff. He knew my schedule and came in and gone in a few seconds. My neighbor down the street gave me some info needed to help get his butt locked up. Had I seen him stealing it we wouldn't have to feed him for 12 years.
    Sorry! I'm still PO'd. Just don't take a chance!

Same here professional thieves in alaska got me for two dirtbikes (not insured) all my fishing equipment and motocross gear. I am investing the couple hundreds bucks, but this thief is a amateur. In addition, ironic how i notice some new young adults move into neighborhood then this happens. All coicidental how it is older non military types that got hit. I will be looking for a trend. Meanwhile i hope they slip up. Might not hit me as i was having some fun with my fnh scar in the back yard that night.
