    Default Wateree 12-22

Too pretty of a day today. Got to finally fish with one of my buddies today who helps run "HEY NOW" charters out of little river NC. worked hard for them. caught roughly 18ish fish. Held a 22 inch rule for today.

other than a few quick shallow ones caught at sunrise, all fish came down deep on the downrigger on my A-rigs. Only thing that put them in the boat today. Still beats the heck out of work anyday. I think i even got a little bit of a sun tan out there today....

Hope everyone has a MErry Christmas. See ya on the water

I passed you guys at 1030 and at 1230 and you had only moved about 50 yards. I think I found your honey hole! All our fish were south of you.

The last 30 minute of daylight saved the day for me. A nice school came up and all the bassracers had went home and didn't bust them up. At about 430 something out of a horror movie happened when every seagull on the lake started flying up lake. I have never seen so many birds... easily 10,000+, my wife said 100,000 but I think that was an exaggeration as she was freaking out after just watching zoo on netflicks. All day long maybe saw a couple hundred birds, but this was freaky. Then they started circling like buzzards do around colonel creek area. Not sure if they all just came off the coast at the same time or if there was a minor earthquake or something. It will be interesting to see if they hang around or if they were passing through. If anyone fishes tomorrow keeep your head down.
