    Default Lake Murray 11-23-16

Nice day on the water at lake murray. We put in at Buffalo Creek & stopped at the mouth of Rocky Creek. Marked a lot of fish at 25 to 30'. Put herrin down & bam before we got 2 rods out had our first striper. Drifting with the wind, we caught 15 stripers but only 4 were keepers. We had 2 free lines out which caught 2 small stripers. All the keepers were on down rods about 28'. Also, we caught 1 blue cat about 10 lbs.

We started fishing about 8 & all our fish were caught before 10:30. Should have gotten a earlier start.

You can't catch fish from the couch.

Glad you were able to catch some at the mouth of Rocky creek. I live in Rocky creek and have rode out several times checking what other fishermen were doing and I have not seen the first fish caught. Microcorps (Tim) and I fished sat in hollow creek, the big gap, little gap and Rocky creek and never had a bite. Hearing somebody actually catching fish in my back yard sounds encouraging. Thanks for sharing. Gonna give that a shot Friday.
