    Default USS Cockytoon

We made the maiden voyage on the new USS Cockytoon this afternoon. The 1st mate (wife) the 2nd mate (black female Schnauzer dog) and I rode around bomb island and down the lake for about an hour and a half. The boat is a dream come true. 22ft. Bentley with 90hp four stroke. I got the fishing model with the two captains chairs up front and 70lb. Minn Kota auto pilot. I trolled a little with no success. There were several boats out chasing schools. Did not see anybody catching anything. I think I am going to be very happy with this toon. I will post some pics tomorrow evening when my daughter and her two boys come over and she shows me how to post them! I am old and computer illiterate!

You are going to love the toon and once you get it rigged like you want will make it that much better.

I ordered eight driftmaster bases for my down rods today. I had to get the 1 1/4 square bases for the rails on the toon. I think that will be enough for a while. The next few weeks will be casting to schools. The bait fishing will be in the spring. If you want to go fishing, give me a holler. Maybe you know more than I do, I hope so, because I don't know much about this big old lake.

Do you have the rod holders. I have eight just like the driftmaster that I would part with at a good price. Just so you know we fish with herring all winter long. The technique is planer boards and free lines with a cork rod thrown in.

I have 10 pro guide Driftmasters. I just had to change the bases. You need to take me out one day and give me some "Murray lessons". I fished Wateree all my life, I don't know a lot about this ake.

Once winter sets in you'll love the toon more, you have room for a heater and plenty of stability when you've got on your cold weather gear. As I got older I was my balance going the toon was the answer.
    Congrats on the new boat

Thumper, you want me to come down there and show you how to fall on a pontoon. Everyone said it sounded like thunder on the water. But now Remus can really show you how to fall on and off the pontoon.

    Let's break her in right!
