    Default Bear hunt pics

Guys, here's some photos of the hunting trip. I posted the fishing part soon after I got home, but been " slacking" as Hunting Slabs has posted. Here goes, Heres my bear,he is my biggest bear I've killed (almost a seven footer) 323 lb and the only one that is not solid black, got the big white patch on his chest. He was the boss bear at my bait. I saw at least 8 different bears, with one being a dark chocolate colored and two more that had white patches. Bears are hard to judge size.Name: IMG_1006.jpg

Size: 79.2 KB,here's a closer look at its snout. It had been shot before by a bow hunter and hit in the nose,it was 100% healed.Name: IMG_0994.jpg

Size: 97.5 KB you can see bout a half inch or so of the arrow. This bear was eating good,it had 4 to 5 inches of fat on it. Here's the mechanical broad head after we skint the head out and removed it.a bears skull is like a deer,no bones right at the end,the arrow was in the sinus cavity area. There's no telling how many seasons this bear had the arrow.Name: IMG_0997.jpg

I wouldn't have done that myself. I like bears.

Nice report. But that would be unbearable for me. Better man then me.

That's a good one. What you shoot him with? They all come off bait or treeing them with dogs?

Looks like a great ending to the hunt for all 3 of you guys. Congrats on what looks to me as all three being some fine full grown bears. Be sure to post up the mounted animals when you guys get 'em back too.

Bait hunts.you get to see and watch bears on the bait( hopefully) but the hound hunts are exciting also. I carry the biggest gun I have which is a .270, I'd like to have a bigger one but don't go enough to talk myself into purchasing something bigger. My .270 has fired 6 times on bears and killed six. Shot placement is the key. I have a cousin that killed one with a .243 . Rogers bear was killed with a 7 mm stw which Is a big gun, it's a 8 mm necked down to the 7. Steves was shot with a .300 mag.heres a pic of the .270 and the 7 mm STWName: IMG_1015.jpg
