Default After the dust has settled !

We was in a war last night.Them N.C. boys came to hunt. It was a great night and I think everyone had a great time. They was more food than newly could have eaten. A super turnout on a super afternoon and night. First let me do the hard stuff. Many many Thanks to our Dawgg for doing a great BBQ. We gonna do that again if you cookin. And to everyone that brought food or drinks or whatever. Thanks. For the donations to the prize fund many Thanks to you folks. ( Sam , I got your message just been crazy and aint got back) But Thank you. It went to a very deserving person that can use it. Dont know what else to say , BUT THANKS TO ALL ! Glad for the new faces. Some of these folks rode 2 1/2 hrs. to participate.Hope everyone made it back home safe and sound. Great to meet you guys. And when you get something going post up. All our trailers got wheels on em. Finally a special Thanks to The Dawgg , turkeyfoot, and ScooperDude for all the time you guys put in on this. Ya,ll made it work.

So now the good part. Well guess that depends on which team you were on. We had a total of 15 boats participate this time. What a crowd. I t was a bit heavy leaning to the S.C. gang. So after some discussion it was decided that each N.C. boat would weigh in 5 fish per boat. Now the screwed up part. At splash time S.C. was counted at 8 boats. However at weigh in they had 10 boats. So to make it back to original plans 2 S.C. boats dropped out of the total state weigh in. S.C. boats could only weigh 4 fish per boat. Hey I am still confused. But in the end everyone agreed to the makeshift rules and it was settled. The N.C. team had a total weight of 16.78 lbs. Congratulations guys. The S.C. team had a total of 27.71 lbs. Congratulations S.C.
I think it was a slow night for all but the guys that found fish found good ones. Hope everyone had fun and got plenty to eat.
and by the way.... newly was skeered after all !
    Thanks everyone.

Thanks John for posting the results and the pictures are beautiful. Those that prepared the food did an excellent job. Thanks Dawgg the barbecue was delicious. I am speaking for my crew Neil, Tim and me we had a good time and got to show a newbie what night stalking was all about. Wound up he caught the most fish and all me and Neil could do was watch. The only bad part was I blew a tire on the boat trailer going up there and had to change it and buy another spare. Was hard to find a place to buy a new tire but after 5 stops finally got one at discount tire over by the Walmart. Thanks again and God bless all of you. Don

Thank you don and neil, it was a hoot. To bad i let the big one get away, next time i will definitrly bring my slip bobber rods and try all the gloing crappie jigs i have from ice fishing. It was an eventful drive home after turning on 378 i think to go to sumter from i77, it was four lane and had an oncoming car buzz (iam sure he was drunk also) past me going the wrong way both going 70 mph. Somehow he managed to not hit all 5 vehicles. Someone was looking out for me this morning at 230am. Made it home by 3 am and couldnt sleep anymore at 9 am, got the boat repacked for friday for lake tugalo trip. It was a great time and am glad to catch some very nice crappies to help the sc team. Tim

All thanks goes to you ofishlbizzness for putting it together! The prize box was like Christmas, you really went way out on this and I know everyone appreciated getting a little something. I had a great time meeting everyone. Thanks goes to Mr. Monk for blessing and a safe send off and return. I hope everyone enjoyed the food. Tim, the beans were great thank you. We need to get out more often just to fish. Great time, great pictures and good fish weigh in. Little small but good sizes too! We had 15 keepers and threw a few back. Newly, you missed a good one as well as for all of the NC no shows. We missed Spotrunning due to moving but maybe next year buddy! Maybe the word will pass on about the time we had to some other folks and it will be bigger next year. Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the ladies that showed up and trying their hand at a marathon fishing event.

your welcome, glad everyone enjoyed a dish common in mn. I was happy to hear our boat's biggest crappie was over a pound and a half, my personal best. Next time i will likely bring the wife and fish from our boat providing i can get the lights and rod holders. It was fun glad i could take part and realized i left my contributions to the prize bucket at home so i have them for next time.

I fished Jordan on Friday for the Disabled Vets, fished last night trying to keep the trophy in North Carolina where it belongs, then when I got up this morning my wife said lets go to the lake.
i took a lot of SC folks to beat the few of us that showed up. Next year is right around the corner
Thanks for all the food, planing and effort by everyone.

Sure hate to miss this get together. Congrats to my friends from the SC side on getting the plaque back I don't know if it would made a difference if my wife and I were fishing or not but maybe next time we can make it. We are getting settled in at the coast made trip back this weekend to get some more stuff and was wishing we were down there with ya. I can report that the spot are starting to bite since we are not the. Go figure! Headed back Mon and you can bet I will be after em asap. Hopefully we can make it up for the next clash. Y'all keep em straight up here and may all your crappie be em r biguns.
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners
