    Default My Report 5/23

The crappie Gods were good to me yet another day on the water. Started at daylight and fished until 11AM boating 55 crappie and bringing home a solid limit of 30 fish. Blue/Black/Chart was the predominant color but the greens produced too. From the rains of lately the water was a bit more stained and the temps remain steady at/around 74*. Pulled jigs in 7'-12' of water all morning and caught fish early off 1/32nd jigs near the top and later switched to 1/16th jigs and finished the morning pulling near the bottom. Sorry there werent any pics but I forgot the camera today. When I got home I did go get the camera to take a livewell shot though.

It was SUPER nice fishing on a lake all by yourself not having to worry about boat waves or people running over you. After returning to the ramp there was only two other trucks there too. You just gotta LOVE fishing during the week.

Nice looking haul Butch, the fish have been eating it up the last week. Week day fishing is nice, but I think more folks fish on Wednesdays at Santee, then Saturday's.
