    Mark I repacked mine and I had to take hub off several times because the back seal wouldn't seat. After that the hub covers would not stay on. I put new one on and they fit much tighter. I think over time they loosen when taken on and off a few times.

    FYI
    there is water proof grease that won't break down when it gets wet
    I'm going to try that
