    :D I am one of the qualifiers. Never been there and am searching for any info on the Santee Cooper lakes. I have ordered the 'Hot Spots' maps,,,got reservations for rooms,,,working a side job to pay for the "GAS" to get there. See ya there in September!!! <*)}}}><

    Good luck - These lakes are huge - the crappie I have caught there are always good size but hey have always been an early morning lake - never caught much at night either - but most of the fish you catch are slabs
    with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
    and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!

    Potato creek in the upper lake. That is the best it gets in Santee. Be very careful on the lakes. They will put your boat on the bottom quick. They are pretty good size and they look safe to just run across wide open. That would be a big no no. Been fishing these lakes for about 7 years. Can give you more info if you would like.     :D jarett, Yes, I've heard about the water hazards. I have a jet boat so, most, of those hazards,,,,aren't. I would love to have any info I can get.
