That is a nice cat. I love catching them that size.
Just had to go fishing on a 75+ degree day. Got lines in the water at 1:30 PM. 2nd cast of the net got 3 nice gizzard shad in 2 feet of water eating dead weeds. Lots of shiners, gizzards, and a few threadfin shad throughout the day. Caught a keeper bass on a shiner but let him go, couple small bass on crappie jigs and a X-Rap, couple channel cats on cut shad. 1 lb and 2.5 lbs. Let them go, too.
Big fish was about 6:05 PM, gorgeous blue on a suspended dead gizzard shad 3-4" long. 38" long and fat. Length/weight charts say near 40 lbs and I would have to agree. Got her back in the water after a couple of pictures and she swam off.
Dad sucks at those new fangled smart phone cameras so I got one with him.
That is a nice cat. I love catching them that size.
Sounds like a great day
Ive been wanting to go catting for awhile now and here you go making my itch even worse. Ha! Congrats on a good day on the water.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
That is a good cat, congrats.
