Stump I have seen it before and it is suppose to be true. Bass pro also bought ranger boats a while back. Business must be good.

Yep, pretty sure it's true. Always liked Cabela's better though.

That's good news for anyone that lives near a cabelas store. As far as I'm concerned that one in Greenville is a bust. Prices are crazy high and I don't do much steelhead or walleye fishing. I understand paying a little more for a good selection but they don't even have that. A little more. Not four times as much as the store across the street. Personally bass pro seemed to always have what people in the southeast use.

My guess would be they remodel the cabelas in Greenville. Either way, I'm excited.

Most big companies when they buy company # 1 , #2 #3 etc never shut down the company they just purchased .It just makes the roll of money for them bigger and bigger .
. Most likely both stores will stay open . Most people never know who the owners are

Well, I'm a little different from you guys. Stores like Bass Pro and Cabelas aint anything more than eye candy tor me. Prices can be beat over the 'net and personally I prefer supporting the Mom and Pop shops whenever I can. It has been a few years since I've even been inside a Basws Pro store and I dont have any plans in the near future to visit one. I'll spend my dollars at the Iva Sportsman Pne Stop store first. Hate hearing this might cost some people their jobs though.

FOR THE FIRST TIME 3 WEEKS AGO AND ITS A LITTLE TO MUCH FOR ME ACADAMY IS MORE MY SPEED.
I ALSO LIKE THE ONE STOP IN IVA
THEY HAVE A GOOD SELECTION FOR A SMALL SHOP
    PRICES ARENT BAD EITHER.

As a buisness owner myself I would much rather my local. The thing is I mainly striper and saltwater fish. The draw for me is that the large satires help make it a one stop for stuff I would otherwise have to order. I'm also anal about fishing rods. Won't buy one without putting my hands on it. Sportsman one stop carries lots of bps products, don't they? Different strokes for different folks. It's what makes the world go round.
