Thread: 1st Annual Jimmy Swanson Fall Event 10-24-15

OK-- it is that time of the year when the lakes get less use and the woods pull a lot of our sportsman in for hunting season. This makes it easy to enjoy the fall fishing and some of the best fishing of the year can be found and Crappie will be in some of the same waters as they used in the spring.
Our Fall Event will be on Lake Secession again this year. We all had a great time last year so we will keep everything set up the same way.

This Event is set up for the enjoyment of getting together for the day. It is open to everyone and we ask for all to remember that this is a family friendly Event. Be sure to bring the children along, I hope to see as many at this Event as we had at the Spring CrappieFest.

We have the Farmers Market in Iva (In the middle of town on hwy 81)(Iva Farmers Market, SC Highway 81 Iva, SC 29655) rented for October 24, 2015. We will meet at the Farmers Market for sign-in from 6 am to 7 am. Fishing time will run from 7:30 to 1:30 and weigh-in will be held at 2:00 pm back at the Farmers Market in Iva. You have to be at the Market by this time for your weigh-in weight to count.

We are in the process of getting some tackle together for the prizes of 1st, 2nd & 3rd and will also have a prize for big crappie and big fish so be sure to hold onto your biggest fish you catch. We will decide what the prizes will be once we see what we have the day of the Fall Event. If you have anything you would like to donate for the prizes please bring them with you.

After weigh-in we will have lunch. Bring yourself a box lunch as we will not be cooking at this Event. You can fine a few places in town to buy a lunch if needed. We will have tables and chairs and will set them up for use. I am not sure if we will have restrooms or not because of the way they are locked, sometimes the town can not unlock them for use. We will keep our hopes up that they will be unlocked

I am looking forward to seeing each one of our friends and members at this Event and hope we have the chance to meet some of our new members. If you have never attended one of the South Carolina's Crappie.com events, please do try to make this one. You will enjoy the day and may even find a few new life long friend in the process.

Ed duke from Southern crappie rods donated (2) 14 ft rods. His best selling rod. he's a great guy to do business with. I didn't even ask him for donations. I was just telling him all about our spring fest and how much fun I had. I told him that I can't wait to go to the fall fest. He said he wanted to be a part of it, grab 2 rods and told me to go Ahead and take them so we don't have to pay shipping.
