    thanks for the replies it makes me feel better about it. i am getting mine from Doss marine in Chapin, they have been real easy to work with.

    Inkdabber I was wrong about that statement on mercury being a Suzuki, the motor I was talking about was a evinrude.I appoligize for that,now I'm gonna go find a hole to limb into and keep my mouth shut.

    Tohatsu makes the smaller Mercury motors, but I think anything over about 50 or 60HP is made by Mercury. I had a 25 Mercury(Tohatsu) and it ran like a dream for 12 years until I traded for a bigger motor.
