Ya gotta turn it on first. Just pickin ya. Wish I had a sidescan. They do seem to vanish in cold weather. At least for me that is.

I've got to get a transducer for mine to show SI. I swapped out from a Elite 7 to an HDS touch 7 but the E7 ducer will only show 2D and DI. I found out I have to have 2 transducers to see all 3 images. Just been too lazy to get it done, but I can show you some perch on 2D in cold weather, but they on Murray not Wylie.

I don't have any images from my Humminbird 598, but you sure can. Big schools, small schools. Its an amazing advantage while trolling from crappie or any schooling fish during the cold months when these fish bunch up tight and are often on the move. As I troll, if I sidescan a school, Ill turn over top of them, usually I can get pretty close and snag a couple. Saturday I was using my 2D, down imaging, and sidescan to target a big school of perch on Wylie.
