    Default Wateree?

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the stripers on Wateree? Haven't been down in a couple of years but thought about trying it this year.

Thousands of them schooling a couple weeks ago from Dutchman Creek to Beaver Creek during the Cabelas King Kat Tournament..They were chasing bait to the Top,only problem is they only 8-12 inchers, those are the ones stocked last year,a few good ones were caught by catfishermen though,we caught one about 10 lbs on cutbait in June Creek drifting,It will sure enough be on in a couple more years..The Striper bite sure had went to hell the last 5-6 years

I appreciate the info. That's what I heard about the bite going downhill. I started striper fishing about the time of the downfall for things on Wateree. Caught a lot of of nice catfish down there though and some decent stripers. Just not a lot. Norman is in my back yard and I can't stand fishing it, just get tired of the small stripers.
