    Default Mechanic

I live in columbia and just recently (on sunday the 21st actually), my buddy and I were on our usual weekend fishing trip and out of nowhere while going across like wateree at WOT my 1983 mercury outboard went to basically 10% power. I need to find a local mechanic as mine just simple wont answer his phone the past 3-4 months... The local boat shop wanted to charge me 300 just to look at my motor. Any suggestions? I am not going to complain if you know of a good mechanic that won't request my first born to work on my boat, even if i have to drive 45 mins away. Just need a bit of a tip or some help because now all my plans for the fall event are basically not going to happen on oct 18 Please help if you can at all. Even steer me in the right direction if you have an idea what the problem may be. More specific info will be posted on the mechanic forums.

Found it, it is Northeast marine the numbers are 803-408-6711 or 803-429-8522. If I remember correctly the buddy at work said that he will even come to your house to work on it. I hope this helps you.

Hey DCA, check out JC Services on HWY 391 in Prosperity, SC. If you come from Lexington on HWY 378 take HWY 391 at the Traffic Circle in Leesville towards Prosperity. You will cross over the Little Saluda River Bridge (Big Mans) and then the Big Saluda River Bridge (Blacks Bridge). Approximately a mile past Blacks Bridge JC Services is on the left. He has done all of my work for me and I feel like I've been treated fair. He sometimes gets back up during the summer months, but his schedule usually frees up this time of year so, depending on the problem and the availability of parts, he might can get you back on the water quickly.
Hooking up every chance I get!

I would love to know. This guy was as close to a backyard mechanic with amazing prices and top notch service that even a top tier business could never touch. This guy was simply amazing.
