    here is a pic of my 38.6 from Tuesdays trip i just now got her loaded look at the size of the bite mark on her back , it is hard to tell from the pic but it was a perfect moon shape and you could see the scrapes

    Thanks for the pic Jeff.From the size of the bite mark,it would have to be a really big fish.

    the males will grab a female and hold her while spawning

    Congratulations on a big cat!! Tha one that made the marks on her had to be HUGE!! Hope you catch him next time. What time of year do catfish spawn and how deep of water? Thanks for sharing the pics.

    from early spring to late summer , it depends on the species, and the same goes for depth , there is no correct answer. I have caught blues with eggs runnin out in early april and in late july from 1' to 60' , you just have to look at the lake being fished and break it down.
