    Default Murray water conditions

Ronnie and I were planning to fish for Bream way up the Big Saluda, above Kempson Bridge, Friday. Any of you guys got a read on what the water looks like up there??
If it is so muddy you can see coon tracks in it I don't want to waste a trip. We got a ton of rain Sunday and today.
So, if anybody know what it looks like I'd appreciate a heads-up.
    Thanks

Ray we have had close to 3'' of rain since Sunday afternoon. Had a rough storm come through yesterday. The Saluda here is high and dirty again so I hope someone can give us some info.

Just for the info, I did see a coon crossing the river this morning

Dont let a little muddy water scare you from going fishing a bad days fishing is better than working all day. I be happy just to have a day off to go fishing . I been working 7 days a week for 2 months so I ready for a day on water.

Rode across the big saluda yesterday at 121 bridge yesterday and they are running some water but the color is perfect. It has a stain but isn't muddy, I would think the fishing should be pretty good by Friday. With some color to the water as long as the current subsides some it wouldn't surprise me if yall caught some slabs at the tips of trees if u tried for them.

Thanks Roland for the info. I think I will ride up to Kempson Bridge Thursday and check it out before I drag my boat up there and have Ronnie drive 1.5 hours. Hope it holds like you saw it.

Not to worry. I am just going to ride up to the landing and see how the water looks. By the way Gerald, one of my friends from the Wildlife Club was in a bad auto wreck so I went to get his boat from the pond and take it to his house.(Remember they sold the pond out from under us, so we had to get our boats out.) He lives about 3 blocks from you on Ann Lane right across from the school. Small world!!
