Sounds like we have a lot of rain coming at us the next few days. If the lakes don't turn to mud in the back waters I hope to fish at least one time over the weekend.

This weekend is our 23rd wedding anniversary. So we will go out to eat and go to a movie which i don't mind. I just hate having to dress up, coat and tie. I'm just glad it's 1 day out of the year! Who ever is hitting the water good luck and be safe.

Plan on Sunday, trying to decide whether to take a boat or walk on water/mud. Rained hard over night and supposed to rain today and thru Sat.

Scooperdude you going to head to wateree? I think it should take a couple days for the mud to make it downlake. going to give the line sides a try below Clearwater with trolling artificials. I've never had much luck trolling but I got a hot tip from about daylight till 8am.

We got 2 1/4'' over the last two days so far. The rain we get here goes to Greenwood. I would think Russell and the Hill had more rain than what we received.

Ronnie, my rain guage said 2 ¼" too. I just emptied it awhile ago. The Savannah doesnt really get Muddy behind Russell dam since the water coming out from under the dam keeps that part of the lake clear. On down towards the mouth of Broad and Savannah can get nasty though. With the rainfall we just had you'd be pretty limited on where to fish if you head this way.

Boiguy, the orgininal plan was for the upper river area on Wateree, but may have to change plans and do the Clearwater to the dam area.
