    Default Santee of yesteryear

Saw this in the Sporting Classics Daily news. I bet a lot of you know the spots they are talking about. Heck, Gerald may have known the guy.

    Great read.

Ray, I didn't know him, although I'm old enough.. How well do I know where those places are. :-) My camping buddy uses Riser's old landing that is now a private club. There is a club house now about where the old house use to be. I may be going there Tuesday and fishing that area If all works out here. It'll be the first fishing trip for me in several weeks and I need a fix bad. If I go, you want to jump in with me. The water should be getting about right for Broadwater to. The couple of guys that I've talked to haven't done any good in Broadwater since the first of the year. Maybe that 4 foot above flood stage water has washed all the fish out of the swamp.. I think I've fished all the ox bow lakes he talked about. That was a good read. Let me know over the weekend if you want to try and get away for a half day of drowning crickets.
