Laundry detergent bottles my friend
Guys I'm fixing to start setting some trot lines on the side for extra money. I have to get 6 yellow buoys and six white that I will be able to write my name and address on. The only thing I can find online is for fishing in the ocean does anyone know where I might find any.
Thanks
caleb

The floating markers must be constructed of plastic, PVC Spongex, plastic foam or cork. No hollow buoys or floats including plastic, metal or glass bottles or jugs may be used except manufactured buoys or floats specifically designed for use with nongame fishing devices; these may be hollow if constructed of heavy duty plastic material and approved by the SCDNR. The floating markers must be colored white when used the 1st through the 15th of the month and yellow when used the remainder of the month.
This is what the dnr website says

Not sure where your located, but most all major department and sporting goods stores sale them. Here's a little trick to make the styrofoam markers more durable and last longer. Insert a equal length of small diameter PVC through the hole in the floats. A little glue should be added to prevent slippage. When the nylon string trot lines are tied to the floats, the string will not cut through the float as badly.

I saw some at Sportman's in Iva a couple years ago.If he don't have any he can get you some.
Haven't set any trotlines in 7-8 years, but we sprayed a can of foam inside empty jugs. Got checked one day while we were setting them and nothing was said. Not sure if the rules were written the same then or not.
Academy has some but I'm not sure of the colors they carry.

If you don't mind. Can you explain to me what a trot line is used for? Thanks.
