    and that, my friends, is why I DONT tournament fish! I still like catching bunches of fish instead of just 7 or 10. Now, that being said, I'd take 20 quality fish over 100 little fish anytime. But........at the end of the day I still like feeling that pull on the end of my line and I like catching a butt load of fish. Longlining seems to get that done!

    OK need to know do you all tie the jigs directly to the line or use a snap swivel??

    Loop knot for me. It does make a difference on how the jig runs.

    Here is the knot that I use and can do it in seconds, a lot quicker that the video that is in the last link. I usually do about 4 to 5 twist on mine. I hold the loop in my finger and twirl the jig head to make the twist and just past the end of the line through the loop. I pull it up tight to the eye and I'm ready to cast again. A bass fisherman showed me this knot about 30 years ago and I've been using ever since. It's never failed me.
    I need to get my son to make a video of how I do this knot.
