    Default Wateree 2-26

Yesterday me, Raccoon, and a couple of his friends went out on Wateree for an anything goes trip. Armed with minners and Melhorn bait we started around 8ish after launching out of the State Park. Wind made things hard for everybody. Raccoon's friend Juebin caught the only 3 crappie and best fish of the outing. I caught 2 slimers and 2 dink perch.

Whipper was right about the wind!! 15-20MPH made it hard to stay on the sweet spot. We marked lots of fish in 40' of water right on the bottom in the main river channel with no cover to break the wind.

Maybe next time the wind gods with smile on us and give us a break.
    I don't fish because I want to, I fish because I HAVE to !

    Moma tried real hard.
