    Default 7-7-12 report(hot)

After reading INKDABERs post, Peggy and I hit the water bout 7:20 this am only to find that the wind was blowing more than Id like it to,>The Lord blessed us with another great trip,.The fish were close to where we had been catching them the last 4 trips, only shallower,,7 foot deep, caught a few but seemed like someone had placed some brush and we kept getting hung so we moved around to look for more fish, found more biting fish in 20 foot of water. We caught around 56 with 3 brim and 3 catfish in the mix,,had 20 in the 11 inch range which is good for me at cane creek lake, biggest of the day 11 1/4 ". All caught on 1/16 oz slider jigs, trolled right at 1mph.A guy at the boat landing told me as I put in,I should be fishing at another place,(oh you can kill em there). He took out as we took out,,I just had to show him why I fish here. Its close to the house

Heres a little"live action" shot of the last fish of the morning,,Peggy had allready put her long rods up.We stayed hung and tangled up a lot today,,notice all the line in the corner of the boat.

    HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD

Looks like a good time catching those crappie today. Some days it just seem that the jigs will get hung up on everything in the lake. Good pics of the days catches. How did the line work out today.

Heres one from a page outta GABOWMANs book

Heres some of ones from the end of the bentrods

Stumphunter,I had so much tangles and hangs I cant tell if the line wound up another way worked better or not.I have to respool 3 or 4 reels before next trip. GABOWMAN,I use a variety of colors,black/chartruse,,junebug/chartruse.blue/black.Lemon merange use to be my favorite but they seem to not like it anymore.

Cane creek lake? Is that another name for fishing creek reservoir, where you put in at springs park to get to? Just trying to figure out where you are. You are not far form me at all.
