Many times white perch will not show up in large numbers until the feeding frenzy is established. If you know your spot is good or has been good in the past, give it 30 minutes or so before moving even if the sonar returns do not show many fish. If fish are sitting on bottom you will not see a return until there is at least 2-3 inches of target separation between the fish and the bottom. The schools move about but once they find you and your baits the sonar picture may look like this...
I found these side imaging interperted videos this morning. Could not paste them so have to follow link.

The water temperature caught my attention showing 85.3 degrees. The average water temperature here now is 41 to 44 degrees. What do ya'll think?
I picked up the 2009 Navionics chip last week. It has Wateree on it. It made a big difference this weekend. Forgot to take pictures.
Lets Go fish'n
I'm a newb.... these images are as I was drifting bobbers and minners out of Nivens creek (from above the landing) on lake wylie....had 4 rods out, 1 at 5 or 6' another at 8-10 one at 2' and one longline, tightline, freeline, which ever name you use.... only got a couple cats i alsoo tried pitching minners around docks...no luck. I didnt stay out but for a couple hours though.. :o
anyone want to help a brother out???
I'll try??? from the first shot you went over bait fish, I see you have your fish ID on a lot of times they give you false readings. I leave fish id off and look for the arches.
IN the bottom part next to the bottom on your 1st picture I'd say it was either more bait fish or brush pile. They Kinda look the same and I can't see the whole screen to tell if it off the bottom or connected to the bottom.
I would also say you should have gotten a bite or two when you passed over it.
