Cool, I've got the LMS 337. I'll have to check it out. I'm sure it will come in handy when trolling in the big pond.

It allows me to locate the striper schools and have the boat speed tracked perfectly for hookup.
thats a great tip to steve.. what i like about this method is you can choose one of three options on the size you want the display to be. i changed my unit to this method yesterday. with the settings on medium you can see what you want with just a glance

Been catching crappie in this spot at with my lines set around 25' deep. In this pic you see the bait down from the surface to around 8' and several crappie ranging from 25 to 30 feet deep.

And another. You can see fish comes under the boat at different depths but generally there's some around the 25' range.

Looks like you have your chart speed to fast. That is why the fish on the screen are so elongated. Reducing the chart speed will make these echos become more < fish symbols. Just a suggestion. It sometimes helps me to distinguish elongated bait fish schools from individual fish.

my interpretation of the elongated lines instead of inverted v's is that he was either anchored or the boat was moving very slowly. the longer a fish stays in the transducers beam, the more the "v" will stretch out..
