Bearclaw, I was out there in that little 14 ft. Tracker jon boat. Every time i looked up one of you guys was pulling another one in. I picked up a few but couldn't seem to get them dialed in this morning.
Peggy and I decided to hit cane creek today for a little am fishing untill the crowd got big.I almost didnt go cause it looked like rain all the way there.I was surprised at the number of boats,,(not too may at all). We longlined jigs till 11:00 ish.Caught fish right off the bat in 12 to 20foot of water, sixteenth oz jigs ,here is the only pic from the water,,the first fish of the day,,14 inch, oops I meant 14 centimeters,,(gotta know something to catch em like that,,or thats what I tell folks anyway!!)
heres the monster
I dropped the camera and nessed the lens up so no more on the water shots for the day.We ended up bringing home 40 and had 20 throwbacks,,so needless to say we had a great day in my book, got 5 little catfish and cleaned them for my pops, tookme bout half as long to clean them 5 rascals as half the crappie.
Heres a pic, hard to see but its a pair of wood ducks setting on top of on of my boxes.
HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD
