Default Anybody know anything bout replacement props?

I found a sumerged hazard with my boat prop the other nite and am now in the market for a new prop. I have a 13 1/2 x 15 factory prop on a yamaha 100 4stroke. I have been shopping around and thinking about upgrading to a stainless prop if I can afford it. I sorta understand what the pitch does on paper but it's still a little fuzzy to me if I should change pitch or not. I was wondering if any of ya'll have any advice before I go prop shoppin and drop lots of money on something I don't need or can't use. Any info ya'll can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if your rpm's are good leave it alone. most times a factory prop is set up for the boat weight and motor top end as close to specs as you can get .

as for a stainless prop , if you had a ss prop when you found the submerged hazard you might be looking for a lower unit. they are very durable but most boat motor combos you will never know the differance.
