Beagler, that is a awesome looking place to fish and with it close to your house that's just great!! Good to hear you did some real fishing and left those trash fish alone. LOL
Thanks for the report and pics.
To my knowledge it's still open, and pretty popular to. Years ago I took the wife and kids up there to eat, They gave us a mountain of food, and everyone else to. But I noticed they were pretty carefull with the fish that was left on the tables when they cleared them, Seemed like to many fish to be throwing away and I noticed they kept them seperated, you get my drift. So me thinking what they might be doing with them I've never been back,

We use to camp with a camping club at Calhoun Falls and they would always go to the Red Minnow in Elberton. Someone mentioned that. I presume it is still open??

That's what I asked Bowman, there was 2 Red Minnows one in Lavonia and Elberton, THey got a divorce and the wife got the Red Minnow in ELberton and he got the one in Lavonia, One of them caught fire but I forget which one.

Glad to see you fishing for something worth eatin', Beagler....and what do you do?...go to Arby's. Now, someone said it once before, " you can't fix it"............just kidding Beagler....glad you caught some crappie even though you put 'em back. At least your family can be proud you weren't bass fishing.

everything fried in hog lard tastes better. thats about all people had to cook with when i come up. if they had cooking oils back then i dont remember it. if they did it was probaly too expensive for most people to use.
