wylie thursday and friday this week

thursday me and kitty hit wylie. couldnt find nothing nowhere and picked up 5 crappie and three perch. again the wind was the law. we fought the law and the law won......wasnt nobody at the ramp to give the fish to so kitty's kitties had a great meal and we went to the fish camp for our supper.

friday we hit it again-------especially since the man was calling for only 5-10 winds. everything went good the first hour then the wind got up and spoiled a perfectly good day. dang i hate them days when the weather man leads me astray. it was one them days that seemed like nowhere we went could we get outta the wind. sorta like a flea crawling on you and biting you and you cant find it. we wound up with ten fish, 4 crappie and six perch. there was 3-4 boats at the landing trying to get out. its tough loading at ebeneezer when you got a stiff wind blowing straight into the ramps. i had a tough time gettin the boat to stay at the pier long enough to get it tied so i could get the trailer and get it loaded. we got mine out and there was an old man, i found out later he was 81, with a fairly big boat and he was also having trouble so i helped him get his out and he said he only caught about 10 so i give him our ten and he went home happy

Good report rango. I dont know who was happier, the old man or the kitties.Rofl That dang wind can be a REAL show stopper for fishing. That's mainly the most problems we day trippers have. I'll put up with it though cause fishing during the day and sleeping at night just feels so right.Thumbs Up Those fish got a break from you guys Thursday and Friday so they best grab their hats next week. Thanks for sharing the report. Glad to hear you guys caught a few.

i need to clarify the record to. of them ten fish, i caught two crappie. kitty caught the rest. i dont think she takes into account i have to keep the boat under control in the wind so dont have as much time to fish as she does, plus she uses more rods than i do. i used four and she used six. she dont care about the details. she whupped me like a junk yard dog and thats good enough for her. lol

That wind seems to win every time!!! Good to hear y'all caught a few each day, or should I say Kitty let you catch a few Rofl the ladies can hurt your feelings on the lake....
I know the guy in the big boat was happy to get your help. Loading with a wind to your back is rough and at times almost impossible by yourself.
Thanks for the report and I hope next week will be a better week with less wind.

Hate the wind was a bust for ya. But as long as Miss Kitty is still happy thats what counts. You will find em next time.They better look out.

Hey Rango sorry you did not find them. I guess you were any where there was less wind. I might get out Monday afternoon. I think I am going to try upper Big Allison. I have heard of catches at the upper end at Mills And Catawba.

ck, kitties got a docs appt around noon on monday. i sorta been knocking around taking the beast with me and hitting the lake after shes through. there wasnt no place we could find that was outta the wind. the fishing on the upper end of the lake always heats up before it does on the lower. im thinking to checking it out my next time out.. i been debating on pulling lines, fishing like i been dong or switching over to nightstalking. i been hearing of some great catches from the nightstalkers and the nights is warming up.
