Thanks Butch, you saved me a trip south. I was hoping with the warmer temps this winter the trolling bite would start early this year, still time, but I'm expecting around the middle of March before we start seeing some good trolling results,
I've come to the conclusion the best winter fishing on Russell is nightstalking.

No leave the Hill where it's at, From reading the reports from the Hill, I'd rather Russell fishing start later then put up with the mess I read about on the Hill.

Beagler, I posted about BDC so it might save a few locals from wasting their time and gas money. I havent heard ANYTHING about that area so I killed a couple hours just to see. I agree with ya...if the trolling bite cranks up early/mid March then it should be ON FIRE during Crappiefest.Thumbs Up I plan on checking areas on Russell more often in the coming weeks.:p
