    Default Wylie nitestalk

Got an invite to go on a nitestalk with a couple of pro's. Jeff and Marty Green asked me to come along and of course I jumped. Put in bout 7:00 and heade toward Crowder Creek. Ran up on OT already catchin fish. We set up in 28 ft. Bite was slow. Caught 3-4 in next 3 hrs. Pulled up and moved to their secret honeyhole. Which will remain a secret. Got setup and the bite picked up. We were in 24 ft. fishing at about 20 ft. As a rookie I wasnt expecting to burn em down, but I think I finally ended with 4 nice crappie and a perch. Jeff was the master it seemed. But Marty didnt give in. We ended with 14 nice crappie 6 perch 1 small bass and 2 cats. Wasnt a barn burner but a lot of fun. Learned several new tricks to this nitestalk thing. Now I gotta put it to good use. Thanks Team Green for showin me the ropes. Name: 100_2185.jpg

We enjoyed having ya along JD,been a long time since the Green boys done much nightstalking but we gonna be getting back to doing more soon as soon as Catfish Tournament season is over. The bite was slow on my side of the toon for sure and that catfish made a hell of a mess of my 10 lines,I knew my nite was gonna be slow after rerigging all that mess.
Enjoyed your company and hope to do it again soon.

i always told the folks interested in nightstalking to get with someone whos sucessful and go with em a few times so you can see whats going on. it will save you a lot of time and money when you set up your boat if you do. when we used to have our nightstalking rodeos marty and jeff was strong competitors so you made a good choice in going with em. a few years ago when nightstalking was popular in this area id have what id call a newbie night on the boat and take one or two folks that was interested in giving nightstalking a try to help em get started.

John, now that youve seen a proper setup you just gotta move around the lake finding that "hotspot" by fishing different places on different nights. You'll KNOW when you find it. Congrats on the catch you guys...and thanks for sharing the pics and report.
