    Default Clark Hill 2/20

After nearly 2 weeks of not fishing I decided to go this morning. Got to the ramp @ 8:30 and was SURPRISED to see a warm 55* surface temp too. Anyway, being anxious to get started I motored to the spot I was gonna try and began putting lines in the water. Right off, fish was a biting.:p

The bite stayed steady for the most part during the morning hours and tapered off about noon and practically quit around 1PM. I fished another hour picking up 2 or 3 more then called it a day. The size of the fish ranged from tater chips up to a couple that went close to 2 lbs each. Had a few more that was @ 1.5 or so, and a good mess that went 3/4 to 1 lb. My intention this morning was to keep me and Allen a mess of 9" fish to eat off the bone so I got those too. What perch I caught was HUGH. Here is the largest I caught (and released) today. Had several more that went 10" or better. For reference, my boot is size 11 and measures 13" from heel to toe.

Anyway, that's my report. Best colors today were light colors: elect. chicken, acid rain, bubblegum, and lake weiss killer probably the best ones. I fished in 13'-19' of water pulling 1/16th jigs down around 7'-8' deep. Here's a shot of the cooler of the fish I kept. Released everything else.

Nice catch Butch. That is a nice crappie in the top pic. I remember someone before using the "foot" to show the length of a fish :D. Glad you got out and caught a good mess, congrats.

Glad you got to go. That was an awesome day. I woke up sick, so every thing went normal for me.

SH, I thought about that when I posted the thread.:D The fish flopped out of my hand on the floor and I knew he was going back for a swim when I grabbed it again so I pointed the camera at it and slid my foot along side it for a reference.:p
