    Default A Few Crappie

Fished up the river on Murray Sunday morning. Marked a lot of fish, but never could find the takers. Managed to boat 5 crappie, 2 perch, a bass, and a throwback striper. Not a terrible day on the water from what I have been having and the crappie were pretty good sized (9"+). Below is the big fish of the day.

Water temps were 43-46 degrees and most of the fish we caught were relating to points. It shouldn't be long before they turn it on! Going back in the morning and hoping for better slightly results!

That's a nice 'un CB. I love the looks of the water color too. Been a long time since the hill looked that good, but it finally does. Hope they tear it up for ya today.:p

I never fished any jigs. I fished all minnows on gold and red hooks. Couldn't really tell if they favored either color hook.

The water is up to a good level. The ramp is NOT flooded out right now. It's actually in the best shape its been in years. They hauled gravel in this past summer and did some work to it.

Good to see you caught a few CB, it has been a rough streak here lately. I think I am gone to ahead that way after while, once I get out of school. Hopefully I might catch a few, good luck to you when you go back. My past two trips have been on G-wood even though it has been a mud bowl, haven't done a whole lot better than I had been doing on Murray.....expecting them to start anytime though...
