    I beleive that DHEC needs to make a show for funding. Revenue is down, they need more money. This is not new and they know it. They can test and find more mercury the next time as they build their budget to "monitor" the problem...

    Beaucracies need fear to find money. Just my humble opinion.

    Clean you fish thoroughly, the toxins are stored in the fatty tissue. Red meat, and the fat down the center of the fillets. Cut out anything but pure white meat. Mudfish and bass contain the most mercury. Anything that feeds on minnows, ie crappie too.

    Not like it happened over night. I don't keep any blues over 10 lbs from there, won't keep any over 5 for sure. Feel fine eating them under 5 as they share a lot of the same diet as smaller channels. And they're a lot better eating than channels.
